The MK2 Golf GTI a true 90s icon!
This particular example was built in 1990 making it 36 years old and boy does it look good for it!
It has benefitted from an extensive overhaul recently including a strip down body refresh and blow over in black (Which is nice and presentable) The BBS RAs have been powder-coated silver and are wrapped in 4 new Yokohoma tyres, It really is a nice and solid example.
As well as the work above it has benefitted from the below maintenance;
- New Discs and pads all round
- Engine Flush and Service
- New Bilstein shocks and springs
- New Power steering pump
- New Radiator
- New Heater matrix and Heater box seal repair
- New Blower motor
- New Sunroof Seal
The 1800cc 8V Engine really does run lovely and quiet and is a pleasure to drive.
This is a really well sorted cult classic that drives beautifully, The interior is a really nice place to be and is all in very good condition with all the original GTI Features, The headlining has some slight sagging but overall its smart.
It really is ready to jump in and be a really cool and useable daily…. or prime to drop a 20VT or VR6 into and a set of coilovers on if thats your bag!!
