Here we have a superb example of a very original 1978 Mk1 Golf.
This Golf started life in Sweden where it was very well looked after. It left the factory in July 1978 finished in a lovely Bronze Metallic with matching cloth tan interior.
The engine is the original 1.6 which has been recently rebuilt and runs very well, easily keeping up with today’s traffic!
The body of the Golf is in excellent condition having never previously been welded or repaired. Yes there are imperfections, rust specs and the rest, but it’s a true unrestored survivor structurally solid in the important places.
The paint is completely original and the Bronze colour somehow goes so well with the little specs of rust on the body creating an almost perfect patina!
Aswell as the engine rebuild the Golf has had lots of other work, including all new brakes, coil over adjustable suspension and not forgetting the brand new 15” Fuch wheels with new rubber all round!
It drives well and gets lots of attention, it’s certainly a head tuner this one and whoever becomes the lucky new owner will be very happy.
