The Austin Allegro is often referred to as one of the worst cars ever produced….
And here we present, one of the best examples of one of the worst cars ever produced …
This 1977 1100 Deluxe is in fantastic original condition. Having only covered 47,000 miles from new! It was also Ziebart rust treated from new making this very solid (For an Allegro) Having had 0 welding until recently.
The colour is beautiful and boasts mostly original Antique Gold paint. This has to be the best Allegro colour!
Not only is it a sexy colour but it’s also a two door model, and let’s face it, that makes it slightly cooler right?
But the originality of the old girl is what shines through… the interior is beautiful… the brown leather matches the exterior colour perfect, all original carpets, headliner and dash.
The bodywork is pretty good for an unrestored car… yes there are a few dents and minor rust ares but structurally she’s a good old girl!
The original 1100 engine pulls well, it’s reliable and efficient, keeping up with modern traffic! It certainly gets some looks!
Allegros can get a bad reputation, but we genuinely feel that this is an exception. If you want to own the best example of the worst car, then this could be yours for only £2.99….
